MARIO ROSI

works  as a Senior System Engineer in an Austrian CISCO Gold Partner firm in the areas of Data Center and ISP. 

Along with years of experience in networking, he developed his know-how in MPLS/VPN environment working as a consultant with international Service Providers; to subsequently specialise further in Data Center technologies concerning above all network infrastructures and protocols with a specific focus on SDN. He collaborated with the Computer Science University of Padova as a lecturer, conducting  some seminars on SD-WAN, SD-ACCESS and ACI topics. 

He is also the author of the “CISCO ACI solution” course material. He loves time by time going back to the roots that bring him to Italy’s green heart, Umbria region, where he’s originally  from.

STEFANO BERTOTTI

is a Senior System Engineer, teacher and blogger on Data Center SDN technologies. After initial years of career dedicated to system programming and microkernel development, he moved to system administration in Windows NT/2K environments and Data Center Networking. While working as a consultant and a trainer across Europe, he has gained significant experience in designing network architectures and transferring IT knowledge. He approaches technology and innovation with the spirit of a pure researcher, but without forgetting their application in the battlefield, which remains his final aim.

After having practiced a couple of sports at a competitive level, he now prefers dedicating his time to tennis and hiking, as well as to photography and microprocessors programming, his hobbies from a young age.

GABRIELE SERAFINI

is a Solution Architect, technology enthusiast with more than 20 years of experience in networking, mainly spent in the telco industry and large enterprises. 

He has spent the last years focusing in the network design area for large Data Center infrastructures SDN based, merging IP/MPLS backbones, and final customers solution design. Currently he is particularly interested in the Network Automation NETCONF/YANG, Segment Routing and basically everything related to network programming.  Gabriele holds Cisco CCIE DC #56837 and several other certifications from different vendors (Juniper, Huawei, Vmware, etc.). He is working to achieve Cisco CCDE. 

He loves to spend his free times surrounded by nature, riding his e-mtb, hiking or simply by playing with his daughter.

MAURIZIO SCARPA

is a Senior Network Engineer working for an Italian Internet Service Provider with more than 20 years of experience in IP/MPLS fixed and mobile networks.

His experience is focused on broadband and complex routing environment and on SDN datacenter technologies and design. Collaboration with financial institutes and Research Institutes. Experience in design and startup of Italian MIX (Milan Internet eXchange) NAP infrastructure. Expert in IOT and NB IOT environments and applications for smart cities and energy efficiency control. Long time experience in IPv6 only and IPv6/IPv4 interoperability.

He loves rock music and tries to play his Fender electric guitar.

GLORIA PADMAPERUMA

is an Engineer and published Scientific Researcher, with a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering, who is currently paving her way as a consultant in the Technology Transfer space and University-Industry Collaborations with Netval and Knowledge Share. She enjoys translating complex scientific findings into digestible and entertaining pieces of work, be them articles or animations, as part of her Freelance venture, Research Interpreter.

In her free time she likes to travel, garden and create recipes. She is a newly formed food blogger, operating under the name of The Culinary Atlas; her ultimate goal is to head her own food venture.
